RESEARCH: 3 out of 10 Greek children are overweight!

Research Harokopio University shows that more than 3 out of 10 Greek children are obese or overweight!

Specifically, the first elements epidemiological study conducted in the context of the Action Plan, in elementary school children and high school show rate "ypervarotitas" (obese and overweight children) to 34.4%, with the boys emerge as negative 'champions', as the figure reaches 35.7%, versus 33.1% of girls.

More specifically, 25% of overweight children proved and 9.4% obese, while the highest percentage of overweight / obese children found from Wednesday until the sixth grade of primary, with 36.5%.
